Here are a few good reasons for mulching:

Tree and Shrub Health and Mulching

There are many reasons for mulching trees and shrubs in your landscape. The area surrounding your home is very different from the environment that a tree or shrub naturally grows in. In its natural environment trees and shrubs gain nutrients from decomposing plant material that has fallen to the ground or from plants, which have died.

Examples of Mulch:

Hardwood Mulch
  • Consisting mostly of Oak, Elm and Maple Tree Barks bi-product from lumber companies
  • Rich Dark Brown in Color
  • Great for steep slopes and erosion control
  • Insulates and protects plants from extreme temperatures
  • Breaks down and releases nutrients into the soil
  • Retards weed growth
  • Shredded/Single Processed/Screened to 4″ pieces
  • Majority of the wood species is found and process in the midwest
Cypress Mulch
